Universal Boltforgers (UBF) is a leading manufacturer and niche provider of bespoke, hot forged fasteners to end-user clients, contractors and distributors throughout the UK and overseas.
Founded by managing director Paul Watkins, the company has grown from a small workshop to a £5m turnover operation, employing 35 highly skilled and loyal staff.
UBF’s mission is to produce hot forged bolts and associated fastening components for a wide range of special and safety critical applications in the construction industry.
The firm’s manufacturing facilities occupy more than 1,200 square metres (13,000 square feet) and are based at Tividale, Oldbury, West Midlands, in the heart of England.
UBF’s Quality Management System has been independently assessed by SCCS and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for the manufacture and supply of forged metal fasteners and allied products in
steel and non-ferrous metals.

the supplier pre-qualification service used by buyers of all products and services throughout
the GB rail industry. The scheme is industry-owned and embraces rail's qualification arrangements
